The Lotus Method

The LOTUS Method is my signature birth coaching framework designed to guide women through pregnancy with knowledge, confidence, and compassionate support. Just as a lotus flower blooms through muddy waters, every woman has the strength and ability to navigate the challenges of pregnancy and birth when she is equipped with the right education, mindset, and support.

 

The LOTUS Method is built on five key pillars that prepare both the mind and body for birth, helping mothers feel informed, empowered, and deeply connected to themselves throughout their journey into motherhood.

Learn Your Body Knowledge creates confidence. Birth is a natural physiological process, yet many women begin pregnancy without understanding how their body is designed to labour and birth. This stage focuses on understanding pregnancy, labour, birth hormones, anatomy, and what to expect, so you can make informed decisions and work with your body rather than against it. You'll learn: •The physiology of birth •Stages of labour •Birth hormones •Understanding interventions •Informed decision-making •Creating realistic birth expectations

Overcome Fear Confidence begins where fear ends. Fear and anxiety can influence both the physical and emotional experience of labour. Together we identify concerns, challenge misconceptions, and replace fear with evidence-based education, practical preparation, and positive mindset techniques. You'll learn: •Mindset tools •Relaxation techniques •Breathing exercises •Positive affirmations •Visualisation •Reframing fear into confidence

Trust the Process Your body knows what to do. Birth isn't about controlling every moment—it's about learning to trust your body, your instincts, and your baby. This stage focuses on building confidence, developing resilience, and creating space for a calm and adaptable birth experience. You'll develop: •Confidence in your body •Trust in your intuition •Emotional resilience •Flexibility if birth plans change •Self-belief

Understand Your Tools Preparation creates empowerment. Every labour is unique. By learning practical comfort measures and birth techniques before labour begins, you'll have a toolbox of strategies to help you stay calm, comfortable, and supported throughout birth. You'll learn: •Breathing techniques •Labour positions •Movement for labour •Birth partner support •Natural comfort measures •Birth planning •Decision-making tools such as BRAIN

Support & Surrender The greatest strength is knowing you're not alone. Birth is not something a woman has to do by herself. Creating the right support team, environment, and mindset allows you to surrender to the process while feeling safe, respected, and empowered throughout your birth journey. You'll focus on: •Creating your birth support team •Partner preparation •Birth environment •Communication and advocacy •Postpartum planning and Reflecting on your birth experience
